WORST PREM SEASON EVER

Manchester United have endured one of the worst seasons in their recent history after they are set to finish lower than fifth in the Premier league table. Even though the club will be without Champions League football for next season, interim manager Ryan Giggs confident that the club will be able to be successful next season under a new manager.

It is not known whether Giggs will be given the job on a permanent basis. A supporter of United, the player has stated that he does not see the reason why United can come storming out of the box next season.

He says that Liverpool have really benefited from the lack of playing in any form of European football. This in turn has helped them concentrate on league football. Even though Liverpool did mount a title challenge during the days of Rafa Benitez, it was not as successful as during the days of Kenny Dalglish.

For the first time in 24 years, they have a real chance of winning the league title. Giggs says that United can also repeat this form next season. It looks like United will be qualifying for Europa league, which has been a major distraction for clubs trying to finish fourth in the table. The belgie zuidkorea odds website makes them odds-on to win a Europa League spot.

"I think with United you've got to try and challenge every year, so that's what we'll do – whether it will happen we'll have to wait and see. But you've seen with Liverpool, I don't think anyone here would think that Liverpool would be in the position they are this season – they've had a great season, so it can happen. Obviously players are going to come in. And at United you need that bit of quality that we didn't show [against Sunderland],” said Giggs after the 1-0 defeat against Sunderland, which once again came at Old Trafford.
