NEW TOTTI DEAL

Roma legend Francesco Totti has been carrying the club for more than two decades. However, there has been a lot of speculation about his future after the arrival of new manager Rudi Garcia.

The 36-year-old also has only 12 months left on his contract. According to many rumours, he could be set for the final season at the club, as he wants to retire.

Some rumours was also have suggested that he will be going to the exotic destinations like the United States or Middle East for one final payday. The talisman, though, has hinted that he may stay at Roma next season as well.

He has hinted that the club are in discussions with his agent over the possibility of a new contract. Club president James Pallotta has also hinted that Roma will want to keep the player until he decides to retire from football. Since making his debut for the first team back in 1992, Totti has come a long way. He has made it close to 700 appearances for the club, and has scored 282 goals in these matches. Roma are looking to get back into the top three after a long time, but that is not the only intention according to Pallotta.

Roma are looking to become the number one club in Italy.
“We are going to talk to Francesco about a new deal. We want to build his future with Roma for the coming years. I’m focused solely on Roma. The club is trying to put together a squad that can compete at a high level. You win titles with strong players. We hope to compete at the highest level in Europe soon. Our aim is not just getting a Champions League place but becoming number one,” said the club president, as Roma prepare to take on Chelsea in a friendly.
