For the first time in over five years The Mavericks advance to game two in the district finals.

Jimmy Thomas scored the winning goal in the first few minutes of play. Mav defense held Holly at bay and the final score was 1 - 0.

At the Plantation Sarcoma 5KWalk/Run in October the Archbishop McCarthy Lady Maverick Soccer Team earned the distinction of having recruited the greatest number of members, over the sixty walkers signed up with the Lady Mavericks Soccer team. “It was a beautiful site and you certainly could see us coming in a sea of Pink…!” laughed Lady Maverick Coach Mike Sica.


Maverick Women's Soccer team had a big win against San Antonio College. Lady Mavericks won 7-2! We are still looking for players to fill out our roster for the fall 2010 season.

UNO sophomore defender Danielle Archuleta scored her first goal of the season in the 72nd minute to help the Maverick soccer team beat Missouri Southern 1 - 0 on Sept. 25. After a slow start to the season, the Mavericks are now 3-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the MIAA conference.In the Mavs' Sept. 23 game, midfielder Becca Swanson's tied the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats with her third goal of the season in the 84th minute. The 1-1 score held up through two overtimes, giving UNO its first tie of the season.

5-A-Side League

We have 5 a side leagues set up in the Cambridge area and are seeking new teams to join this successfull operation.So if you or some-one you know (ladies, your boyfriends or mates might be interested?) Please ask them to join this group for infomation on joining.

The leagues cater for all abilities and new seasons are starting all the time, games last 30 minutes and work out about £3 per person! Some serious silverware is up for grabs for winners and runners up.
